Respected Late Shri. Maganlal Bhuta compiled the information about Bhuta Family from authentic sources and prepared Bhuta Family’s genealogy in 1974.

In the year 1468 (approximately 540 years ago), a prominent and successful leader from Kapol Community Shri. Mehraj Jitho Mehta of Sihore built temple and lake in Loliana. Loliana is a small village few miles from Walla or Valabhipur in Kathiavad. During this time Gohil Rajput where the kings of Saurashtra region and their capital was Sihore. |

The Kapol leader Shr. Mehraj Jitho Mehta was intelligent, industrious, wealthy and he had strong religious inclination. He was married to Smt. Manglade Ramaji of Mahuva (Gotra Bhardhwaj). Shri. Mehraj went to Dwaraka and Kashi for Pilgrimage. |

Shri. Mehraj Jitho Mehta of Sihore had one son and two daughters. His son Shri. Laxmidas Mehraj was affectionately called as “Bhoota.” |

All the descendents of Shri. Laxmidas Mehraj Mehta of Sihore have the last name or surname as Bhuta. In that sense, all Bhuta family members from all native places are descendented of Shr. Laxmidas of Sihore. Bhuta family can take genuine pride in the fact that the family ancestors were generous, religious and donor. |

Bhuta family was started by Shri. Laxmidas Mehraj Bhuta of Sihore approximately in the year 1480 or almost 520 years ago. It is likely that Shri. Laxmidas inherited the wealth of Shri. Mehraj and he was also intelligent, industrious and wealthy. |

The descendents of Shri. Laxmidas were > Sanghji > Venidas > Savaji > Jivraj > Haraji. |

Shri. Haraji Jivraj Bhuta started a new history in the Bhuta family in the year 1760. (Around 249 years ago). It is recorded that Shri. Haraji Bhuta was very wealthy, industrious and intelligent. He was keen on social service and religious values. Shri. Haraji Bhuta often went for pilgrimiages to holy places. He visited Dwaraka, Narayan Sarovar, Kashi, Gayaji, Vraj-Chorashi and Shrinathdwara in the years from 1749 to 1760. |

During the time of Shri. Harji Bhuta, Ghogha was the capital city and center for trade and commerce. Shri. Harji Bhuta shifted from Sihore to Bhumbhali (a village near Ghogha) in the year 1769. All the descendents of Shri. Harji Bhuta were called Bhuta of Bhumbhali. Shri. Harji Bhuta shifted to Bhumbhali from Sihore. It is likely with the presence of man of the stature of Shri. Harji Bhuta, the Bhuta family was influential in the affairs of Bhumbhali and there is a street with the name Bhuta Street in Bhumbhali.
Shri. Harji Bhuta was married to Smt. Hasbhai. Smt. Hasbai died in the year 1790. |

It is recorded that the only son of Shri. Harji Bhuta – Shri. HIRJI HARJI Bhuta was wise, trustworthy and respected. Shri. Hirji Bhuta accomplished many successes. He was generous and religious. Shri. Hirji Bhuta traveled to Dwarka and Narayan Sarovar for pilgrimage. |

Shri. Hirji Harji Bhuta also had big event and called 9 major communities (call nav naat). He married twice. Once with Naniba (Daughter of Mulji Kanakiya of Amreli) and second time with Sakarba (Daughter of Jeraj). |

The geneology of Shri. Hirji Bhuta went as follows. Hirji > Ravaji, Nanaji and other children. Ravaji > Sunderji > Rugnath > Karshandas > Ratilal > Harial & Dwarkadas. |

The children of Nanaji Hirji Bhuta were also quite successful. They settled in Mumbai, Bhind and Hathras. Shri. Nanaji Bhuta now has big family. |
